PERSPECTIVAS / PERSPECTIVES: LATIN AMERICAN ART 1930-2008 click here to view the exhibition
Our Fall Exhibition will feature modern masters of Latin American Art alongside contemporary artists of the region.
As the market for Latin American Art grows, the major auction houses are combining their sales of Latin American Art (formerly a separate sales category) with their Modern and Contemporary sales.
What does this mean for the collector? Artists such as Gunther Gerzso, Leonora Carrington, Angel Botello and RufinoTamayo, as well as other important Latin American artists, will take their rightful place alongside Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Pollock and Warhol in auctions that fully explore the breadth of Modern Western Art. The increased exposure these artists will receive, coupled with an expanding international collector base re-examines Latin American Art's pivotal contribution to the 20th Century Modern art movement.
The wise collector who appreciates these artists for the quality of their work and it's historical value will acquire works for their collection and enjoy the benefits that increased exposure will provide.
