Jen Trute:  Remembered

We had the great pleasure of getting to know and work with Jen Trute over the last several years, beginning with her nomination for the San Diego Art Prize and her inclusion in the New Contemporaries II exhibition we hosted in 2009. She was one of the most thoughtful, committed and technically advanced artists we have ever shown and we will miss her.

Her death cut short a career in the full bloom of promise.  Her work had in recent years been committed to the important subject of the environmental havoc cast across our planet by mankind. Jen was at the forefront of a growing group of artists doing their best, using their skills and imaginations to bring awareness to what may prove to be the most important battle our species will ever face.  She is missed.
